Completing the Membership Excellence Certification (MXC) is an indication that you will be better equipped to lead an association to higher levels of member engagement and membership growth!
Course Requirements:
To qualify for Membership Excellence Certification, you must complete the following requirements:
Attend Class
- Classes take place via Zoom for 2 hours (1-3 EST) on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of the month for three months. Each class features a lecture, small group discussions, and interactive class experiences. There are six classes. In-person attendance is required.
Attend Small Group Huddles
- Participants will be assigned a Small Group and will meet with the same group throughout the course. Facilitated Small Group Huddles take place via Zoom for 45 minutes (1-1:45 or 2-2:45 EST depending on group assignment) on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month. Small Groups will be given a guided discussion sheet and/or meet with a course instructor during this time. There are six Small Group Huddles. In-person attendance is required.
Meet with Paired Partners
- Participants will be paired up with one another throughout the course. New Paired Partner assignments occur every-other week and given a short assignment (3 questions) to discuss with their partners during a 30-minute Zoom or Teams call. Partners are tasked with finding a time that works best for them to meet prior to the next class. Throughout the course, there will be six Paired Partner activities to complete.
Complete the Homework
- Following class, participants will be given an independent assignment to complete related to the content. Participants have 10 days to finish the assignment. Completed assignments must be submitted the Thursday prior to the class on Monday.
